Sacred music for choir

  • Somebody's knocking at your door for 4-part choir and instruments.
This one is almost a concert of nearly 10 min. duration, including organ variations on the chorale "Gottes Sohn ist kommen".
  • This little light of mine for 4-part choir and instruments.
  • Away in a manger for 4-part choir and instruments. (playable with the piano part alone.)
  • O komm, o komm, du Morgenstern ( O come, o come, Emanuel), for 4-part choir and instruments
  • Sonne aus Nazareth on a text of Rudolf Bohren for 4-part choir and instruments
  • Psalm 130 for 8-part choir, bass clarinet, 3 violas and cello
  • Te Deum laudamus by Andreas Romberg. I re-edited and re-typeset Rombergs Te Deum from 1819, which has been available in old prints only. This is a wonderful, splendid sounding piece in the style of both Haendel and Mozart, with french horns and trombones that really deserves being performed anew. The duration is appr. 13 minutes. If you want parts and a choir score of the piece please send an appropriate donation with the PayPal button below and include a notice that you want the parts. The PDF file includes an alternative part for the 1st trombone (for alto trombone) which is not part of Romberg's original score. Using an alto trombone for the upper voice was possibly intended by the composer. You can also listen to a computed audio file.

About

Ulrich Nehls studied music in Heidelberg and Berlin (Germany). Currently he's working as teacher and band leader at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany.

I am available as a transcriber and arranger, too.
This means, if you want a piece of music transcribed and/or arranged you are welcome to contact me. Sending me a music file (such as mp3) should be sufficient to find out whether it is doable for me, and how I will price my work.
